Geocomposite Drain

A drainage geocomposite is a geosynthetic product specially designed to be utilized as a planar drainage material. It consists of a three-dimensionalgeospacer, covered on one or both faces of its plane with geotextiles. The geospacer creates a void space in the soil through which gas or fluids can flow, while the geotextile layers provide filtration to keep the soil particles from entering into the drainage media. There are many different types of drainage geocomposites, depending on the type and characteristics of the geospacer, as well as the geotextile cover layers.
