Sometimes, when the liquids to be contained in a reservoir are highly polluting or of high value, it isnecessary to construct a coating system able to provide sealing of the liquid in the reservoir and which also allows permanent leak detection.

The leak detection system consists of a geocomposite drain or geospacer installed between two impermeable layers of geomembrane. In the case of a leak of the liquid contained in the outer primary layer of the  geomembrane,the geocomposite drain will allow the spilled liquid to be  driven  to a place of inspection; while the secondary geomembrane layer located below the geocomposite drain, will collect the fluid to  prevent infiltration into the ground.
